The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to perform assigned procedures and treatment activities based on the established Physical Therapy plan of care. This role reviews physician referrals, patient reports, Physical Therapy evaluations, treatment goals, and the medical record to support safe and effective patient care. The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, education, documentation, and patient support across assigned clinical settings. This role also communicates patient progress or changes in condition to the Physical Therapist and supports the overall care team by helping maintain quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
