As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you support this mission by applying a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of functional limitations, impairments and disorders. This role is critical in ensuring patients feel at their best, empowering them to take control of their treatment. Every day, you can make a lasting difference in their lives, all while gaining extensive hands-on experience and finding your place within an innovative healthcare system. A caregiver in this position works Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Weekend requirements include 12 Saturdays per year including 1 holiday weekend. This role serves the areas of: 44124 , 44143 , 44118 , and 44121

Requirements

Associate's Degree or certificate
Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Valid Driver’s License (VDL) with proof of $100,000/$300,000 coverage insurance coverage for Homecare

Responsibilities

Administer patient centered Physical Therapy treatment incorporating evidence-based practice and skilled techniques to achieve optimal functional outcomes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Observe, communicate and document patient progress and response to treatment.
Plan, organize and implement individualized therapeutic programs with patient/family, incorporating evidence-based practice.
Provide education on Physical Therapy related subjects to patients, clients, caregivers, hospital personnel and the community.
Act as a clinical instructor or participate in the education and evaluation of students.
Act as a resource for volunteers and observers.
