Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• BLS required.
• Annual 2 hours of stroke education required for those working at QVH.

Responsibilities

• Serve as support personnel under the direct on-premises supervision of the physical therapist.
• Perform designated tasks related to the management of the patient and the operation of the physical therapy department.
• Patient transport
• Preparation and cleaning of treatment areas
• Clerical tasks
• Handling of topical medications
• General assistance to patients, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.
• Assist pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and disabilities.
