About The Position

Kaiser Aluminum Warrick is seeking a Physical Testing Lab Technician to join their team in Newburgh, Indiana. This role involves completing end-of-line product testing to support production centers, processing samples using shears and punches, and conducting various tests including coating strip weights, lube strip weights, color Yi, physical properties, and adhesion. The technician will operate in a diverse environment requiring strong communication, computer skills, and work ethic. Good performance may lead to permanent employment.

Requirements

Must work safely in an environment where samples must be processed to test size using shears and punches, and tests use various chemicals including sulfuric acid, MEK, hexanes, etc.

Responsibilities

Completion of end-of-line product testing to support Warrick production centers (PCs).
Travel (via scooter) from the lab to the PCs to pick up samples for testing using an assigned sample vehicle.
Process samples to test size using shears and punches.
Conduct tests using various chemicals including sulfuric acid, MEK, hexanes, etc.
Perform tests including coating strip weights, lube strip weights, color Yi, physical properties, adhesion, and others.
Adhere to Good Lab Manufacturing Practices.
Participate in Process Management.
Complete work on special projects as needed.
