About The Position

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a talented Physical Security Technology Deployments Specialist to enhance its physical security infrastructure. This role involves working on highly technical projects, including the design, installation, and programming of new security system components. The specialist will also evaluate the latest physical security technologies and work to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the technical security program. The position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing physical security systems and components, programming and commissioning new installations, developing and maintaining engineering documentation, and supporting security technology evaluations to ensure facility safety and security.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in physical security systems deployment and maintenance.
  • Experience administering access control systems and Avigilon video management systems.
  • Experience with Mercury Security hardware components.
  • In-depth knowledge of physical security technologies and concepts.
  • Basic telecommunications networking knowledge (IP addressing, subnetting, TCP/IP, HTTP).
  • An Associate’s Degree in electronics, electrical or computer systems, or four years of relevant field experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to accomplish projects with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in basic G Suite tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing physical security systems and components.
  • Programming, testing, and commissioning of new physical security systems installations.
  • Developing and maintaining systems engineering documentation, including as-builts, programming sheets, and playbooks.
  • Ensuring compliance with established Service Level Agreements for requests submitted by stakeholders.
  • Administering and maintaining security systems data sources.
  • Supporting security technology evaluations performed by the Technical Security Programs team.
  • Generating ad-hoc reports such as card access activity and equipment inventories.
  • Maintaining the physical security systems spares inventory.
  • Generating physical security device layouts in accordance with our Physical Security Standards.
  • Generating scopes of work for new system installations.
  • Conducting technical site surveys where necessary.
