About The Position

Fisher Investments is looking for an experienced Physical Security Technical Specialist as part of our Information Security group to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve enterprise physical security systems. You have 3 or more years of experience with access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related technologies. You will work independently while partnering with corporate security, IT, facilities, and vendors. You will support scheduled maintenance, deployments, upgrades, and emergency response, including after-hours or weekend work. You will report to the Assistant Vice President, Information Security.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience installing and supporting commercial electronic security systems
  • Working knowledge of enterprise access control, IP video management, electronic door hardware, low-voltage wiring, and TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows-based workstations and server-connected security systems
  • Experience reading wiring diagrams, floor plans, and technical documentation
  • Strong organizational, communication, prioritization, and customer service skills
  • Experience with cloud-based physical security platforms and multi-site enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with OSDP, HID credential technologies, PoE infrastructure, network switches, and fiber or copper structured cabling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work above ceilings, and perform tasks in office, construction, and outdoor environments
  • Obtain and maintain any licensing, registrations, certifications, or other credentials required in the region where you fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

  • Manufacturer or industry certifications are considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and emergency communication systems
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, cabling, and field device issues
  • Install and terminate low-voltage cabling, readers, cameras, power supplies, door hardware, and related equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and commissioning to ensure system reliability
  • Support upgrades, migrations, new construction projects, and planned project cutovers.
  • Coordinate with IT on network connectivity, switches, VLANs, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices
  • Maintain as-built drawings, panel schedules, device inventories, and service records.
  • Respond to service requests, incidents, and technical issues in coordination with vendors and contractors
  • Follow safety procedures and organizational standards during installations and repairs
  • Work with low-voltage electronics and related components in the performance of daily installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities
