About The Position

The On-site lead technical physical security specialist will perform duties associated with physical security operations, emergency management, and technical security support.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with physical security operations and administration of security applications.
  • Ocularis System Administrator Certificate.
  • CDSE Physical Security Training.
  • Experience working with intercom systems, wireless technologies, and fire alarm systems.
  • Facility Security Officer Program Management Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain physical security hardware architecture and ensure integration with information technology department.
  • Provide expertise in electronic physical security systems for the purpose of supervising and project planning, installing, integrating and maintaining these systems.
  • Troubleshoot to resolution a range of issues with surveillance cameras, video management, and low voltage security systems.
  • Provide administrative support (standard operating procedures, work instructions, etc) to end users for video management, access control, intrusion detection and visitor management systems.
  • Coordinate functions, tasks and planning factors across the facility: to include building managers, commercial vendors, and various government agencies and sponsors.
  • Support the Key and Lock Control Program, performs maintenance, key creation, destruction and documentation on high security mechanical and electronic locks.
  • Ensure compliance with physical security requirements for UL 2050 areas.
  • Support shared responsibility for 24x7 availability for response to repair alarm system failures and malfunctions to UL, DCSA, company and USG sponsor standards.
  • Train employees, contractors and vendors on aspects of access control, alarm monitoring, and other associated duties.
  • Work with site leaders to develop security instructions and procedures and conduct security training programs as dictated by site security requirements.
  • Support emergency management systems and teams and participate in workplace disruption meetings.
  • Perform security assessment to ensure compliance with various US Government regulatory physical security requirements; 32 CFR 117, ICD 705, DoD 5100.76, etc.
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal communications.
