About The Position

The Periscope Group is seeking licensed physical or occupational therapists to perform one-time, in-home medical necessity assessments. Consultants provide recommendations for equipment, services, and care to help members maintain independence. The role is an independent contractor opportunity with a self-set schedule within assessment timeframes. Work includes completing documentation through a secure, user-friendly online portal accessible from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Compensation ranges from $135 to $200 per assessment, depending on location and assessment type.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist; PTAs and COTAs are not eligible.
• Malpractice or liability insurance; this may be purchased at the time of job offer.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, navigate stairs and varied home environments, and perform physical assessments as needed.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to and from member homes.
• Proficiency with technology, including navigating online portals and uploading documents using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
