About The Position

The Periscope Group is seeking licensed physical or occupational therapists to perform one-time, in-home medical necessity assessments as independent consultants. Consultants assess members’ needs and recommend equipment, services, and care to help them maintain independence. They complete documentation through a secure online portal accessible from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Consultants set their own schedule within assessment timeframes. Compensation is $135–$200 per assessment, with rates varying by location and assessment type. The company offers continuing education benefits and professional growth through training and mentoring, along with a nationwide network of expert consultants and streamlined onboarding and documentation.

Requirements

Current licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist; PTAs and COTAs are not eligible.
Malpractice or liability insurance; it may be purchased at the time of job offer.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, navigate stairs and varied home environments, and perform physical assessments as needed.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to and from members’ homes.
Proficiency with technology, including navigating online portals and uploading documents using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Background in home safety assessments.
Familiarity with durable medical equipment.
Experience with home modifications.
Work history involving diverse medical conditions.
