About The Position
Race Brook School is seeking an enthusiastic long-term substitute Physical Education teacher for students in grades K through 6. The position is expected to begin November 2, 2026, and end on or about November 20, 2026. The teacher will also travel to neighboring Mary L. Tracy School twice per week to teach kindergarten students. The 2026–27 starting rate is $134 per school day. Requirements
- Strong classroom management skills for working with students in grades K through 6.
- A collaborative nature and a passion for engaging students in Physical Education.
- Ability to instruct and model various physical activities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate successfully with staff, students, and parents.
Nice To Haves
- Connecticut Certification 044 is preferred.
