About The Position
This position is for a Physical Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Canyon Springs High School. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications as listed on the appropriate position vacancy announcement. This includes holding an earned bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, possessing or being able to acquire a Nevada Department of Education teaching license certified in the relevant subject area, and holding a current in-person CPR/AED certificate from an approved organization, which must be maintained for the duration of the assignment.
Requirements
- An earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must possess or be able to acquire by time of appointment to the position, a teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education. Certified in relevant subject area.
- Must possess a current CPR/AED certificate from an American Heart, American Red Cross, or other similar organization. Certification must be maintained for the duration of the assignment. Certification training must be in-person and include a hands-on component. Online courses will not be accepted.
Responsibilities
- Teach Physical Education to students.
- Maintain CPR/AED certification for the duration of the assignment.
