About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Physical Collateral Examination Associate within Wells Fargo Commercial Banking Team. In this role, you will schedule and route daily travel to customer locations within an assigned geographic area, incorporating overnight stays to reduce travel time for optimum productivity. You will physically inspect inventory and assess the condition to confirm the collateralized position. You will reconcile discrepancies with the customer and document details to support final inventory inspection results. You will build relationships with customers through setting inspection expectations, answering questions, providing support with payment systems and raising customer growth inquiries to our commercial and portfolio teams. You will communicate with manager, account manager and peers to resolve issues and escalate risks. You will participate in audits of floor plan inventory at various dealerships and companies. You will perform physical inspections of dealer inventories and reconcile with business records through effective communications with account managers. You will review approval requests and ensure completion of all operating and action measures within established timeframes. You will inspect physical existence of collateral and verify the borrowers' records to determine adherence to approve loan structure. You will receive direction from supervisor to ensure accurate responses on customer inquires and disputes. You will exercise judgment in determining the cause of discrepancies and disposing of any variances. You will assess condition of collateral with prompt and accurate reporting to confirm the collateralized position. You will collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. You will perform physical inspections of commercial business inventories to assess their condition to provide prompt and accurate reporting. You may also be involved in responding to customer inquiries, questions, documentation issues, billing errors, disputes, and program changes.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Collateral Examination experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business or related field
