About The Position

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a patient-centered Physical Activity Tech to support rehabilitation services in an acute care setting. The role provides routine, non-skilled patient treatments prescribed by a physician and directed by a licensed therapist or therapist assistant. The tech also helps maintain supplies and organize the clinical environment for safe, effective patient care. The position is PRN (flexible/as needed), with a monthly 16-hour weekend requirement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No experience required.
• No supervisor experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Basic Cardiovascular Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the therapist by performing non-skilled activities that are critical to a patient's treatment.
• Transport patients safely and in a timely fashion.
• Input rehabilitation charges; prepare charts, charge sheets, and other treatment documentation; and create, compile, maintain, and organize patient handouts and departmental reports.
• Assist with maintaining supplies, forms, and an organized clinical environment for safe and effective patient care.
