The physician will provide professional medical services on a full-time basis to patients of assigned hospital(s), including customary services in physical and rehabilitation medicine such as rounding and consultations. The role involves collaboration with facility leadership and staff to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care policies and procedures, and to identify, evaluate, and address medical and clinical concerns. Key duties include evaluation, diagnosis, consultation, and management of patients with physical and/or cognitive impairment and disability, including painful or functionally limiting conditions, management of co-morbidities, diagnostic and therapeutic injection procedures, electro-diagnostic medicine, and prevention of complications of disability. The physician will also assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions, perform physical examinations, pre-admission assessments, and lead interdisciplinary team conferences.
