About The Position

Under the supervision of the production group leader, the optical assembly technician will perform various tests, analyses, and manipulations on devices intended for the verification of telecommunication networks. More specifically, your tasks will consist of: Performing assembly, tests, optical adjustments and alignments, calibration, and product verification; Performing analysis and interpretation of results based mainly on optical parameters. Proceed with mechanical and optical assembly of products according to established procedures and technical specifications; Perform performance tests, optical adjustments, and alignments using high-precision measuring instruments; Calibrate equipment in compliance with required tolerances and quality standards; Verify product conformity at each stage of the manufacturing process; Analyze and interpret test results, mainly based on optical parameters, to detect any anomalies or performance deviations; Document results, complete required reports, and report any deviations to the supervisor or engineering team. It is important to add more specific tasks to the position or the cell for which the position has been opened.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in optics/photonics in a similar role
  • Proficiency in assembly and precision alignment with micro-manipulators or other equipment
  • Ability to analyze and interpret physical phenomena related to optics
  • Ability to diagnose and adjust multi-parameter optical tests and measurements
  • Knowledge of electronics
  • Knowledge of main MS Office suite software
  • Manual dexterity
  • Satisfy the requirements related to the transport of goods, particularly the Air Cargo Security Program, CTPAT, etc., which requires, among other things, the verification of professional and judicial background checks related to the job.
