About The Position

This role involves supporting the photo area by interfacing closely with manufacturing, equipment engineering, and IT. The engineer will be responsible for dispositioning nonconforming material, developing and improving processes to meet area goals, and monitoring processes and equipment for optimal performance. This includes taking corrective actions, training personnel, and creating/maintaining documentation. The position also requires collaboration with integration and process engineering groups for product and process development, troubleshooting, and customer support, as well as evaluating and specifying materials for wafer fabrication.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree or higher in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or other engineering field.
  • Must be able to design experiments and make recommendations/process changes based on results.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem solving and decision making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lithography operation, i.e. coat, expose, develop, SEM and registration.
  • A working understanding of statistical process control (SPC) is useful.

Responsibilities

  • Interface closely with manufacturing, equipment engineering, IT, etc. to fully support the photo area.
  • Disposition nonconforming material in a timely and logical manner.
  • Develop, sustain and improve processes to achieve fab and area goals.
  • Monitor processes and equipment for optimum performance, taking cost effective corrective/preventive action as necessary.
  • Assist in training manufacturing as well as engineering personnel.
  • Create and maintain procedures/specifications/charts and related documentation.
  • Work with integration and process engineering groups to develop and/or troubleshoot products, processes and process flows and provide customer support as needed.
  • Evaluate and specify materials used in wafer fab.
