Requirements

  • Experience shooting and editing television news footage - 5+ years
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience
  • Operation of ENG/SNG/Satellite vehicles and bonded cellular streaming
  • Knowledge of how to clearly communicate solutions
  • Ability to relate to populations and ages
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to solve problems
  • Lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to distinguish colors and discern sounds
  • Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
  • Ability to work different shifts, be flexible with schedule changes and able to cover stand-by responsibilities when assigned
  • Valid driver's license for authorized driving in the state of residence

Responsibilities

  • Shoot and edit material for newscasts.
  • Incorporate footage with fresh angles, lighting, and points of view to elevate stories.
  • Create compelling, timely, and accurate content to connect with viewers across traditional and digital platforms.
  • Work both independently and alongside a supportive team.
  • Use the latest technology to tell character-driven stories.
  • Connect with neighbors to capture footage at local events.
  • Tell stories across platforms including TV, connected television, and digital.
