About The Position
This is a work-study position for a student assistant in a photography lab. The primary functions include preparing photography chemicals and maintaining the cleanliness of the photography lab and studios. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to follow specific instructions for chemical preparation and darkroom printing.
Requirements
- Must be a regular, full-time student, enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester
- Must have a completed FAFSA on file with Financial Aid for the current academic year
- Ability to follow specific directions when preparing chemicals for film processing and darkroom printing.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledgeable in photography and film processing is preferred, but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of various chemicals used in the photographic lab.
- General maintenance/cleanliness of lab.
- Correct OSHA labeling and conformance issues.
