About The Position
Mohawk Valley Community College is seeking a Photography Lab & Studio Technician in their School of Art. This part-time, 10-month position will provide assistance to students and faculty in the Photo Lab and Photo Studio, ensuring these spaces are clean and organized. The role involves preparing and distributing supplies, maintaining equipment, and upholding lab rules to ensure a proper learning environment for both the Black & White Darkroom and Mac Lab.
Requirements
- Associate degree (or 60 credit hours completed)
- Experience with studio lighting, black and white wet lab printing, and digital ink jet printing.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Premiere
Responsibilities
- Prepares, maintains, and distributes supplies, photography equipment, and chemistry for lab use and class demonstrations for students and faculty.
- Ensures that all students using the open lab adhere to all rules of the Photo Lab and Studio.
- Notifies supervisor of any inventory needs or necessary repairs.
- Maintains a proper learning environment for both the Black & White Darkroom and Mac Lab.
