About The Position

The Village Dallas is seeking a photography intern to capture the essence of its unique residential community. The intern will be responsible for photographing community events, amenities, and everyday life, as well as lifestyle moments, property, and architectural shots. The goal is to create authentic and compelling visuals for the company's website, social media, print materials, and marketing campaigns. This role offers a significant opportunity for portfolio development, moving beyond stock photography to create original content.

Requirements

• Studying Photography, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated skills
• A portfolio showcasing a range of work including people, spaces, events, or lifestyle photography
• Proficiency with a DSLR or mirrorless camera (must own one)
• Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop
• Ability to work quickly under deadline without sacrificing quality
• Comfortable directing subjects who are not professional models
• Genuine interest in community, real estate, or lifestyle photography

Nice To Haves

• Video shooting and editing experience (including short-form)
• Drone photography certification (FAA Part 107)
• Experience with real estate or hospitality photography
• A social media presence that showcases your work

Responsibilities

• Photograph community events, amenities, and everyday life at The Village
• Capture lifestyle moments that feel authentic
• Shoot property and architectural photos
• Edit and retouch images for use across digital and print channels
• Organize and maintain a library of assets
• Collaborate with the social media team to supply content for campaigns
• Occasionally assist with behind-the-scenes video or B-roll footage
