About The Position

At CustomMade, photography plays a crucial role throughout the customer journey, from initial discovery via ads and social media to inspiring design choices and the final reveal of a finished ring. As a Photographer on the in-house team, you will be responsible for capturing beautiful and consistent images and videos of jewelry, ensuring each piece is presented with care. The role involves a significant amount of product photography and video, with opportunities for creative projects like group shots and styled images. Collaboration with Production Specialists, Project Managers, and the Marketing team is essential to meet requests and drive business growth through visual content.

Requirements

Product photography experience
Experience with Canon cameras
Experience with Lightroom and Photoshop
A sharp eye for detail: ability to notice and fix any stray reflections, shadows, etc.
Creativity and the initiative to bring your own ideas to a shoot

Nice To Haves

Experience photographing engagement rings and other shiny, reflective objects
Experience creating video content for social media
Experience with the GemLoupe

Responsibilities

Photograph finished rings and other jewelry in the studio using consistent staging, brand-color backgrounds, a light box, and props.
Edit images in Lightroom and Photoshop to ensure accuracy and quality.
Work through the photo queue efficiently to deliver finished pieces to customers promptly.
Stage creative shots for the website, paid ads, and social media platforms (Instagram and TikTok).
Shoot standardized product video with the GemLoupe.
Experiment with video content to enhance customer-facing materials and polished content for ads and social media.
Coordinate with Production Specialists and Project Managers for ad hoc photo requests.
Work closely with Marketing to align photography with business objectives.
