About The Position

The Photographer (Home and Flats) is a key contributor to the visual storytelling and commercial success of the brand. This role is responsible for producing high-quality imagery across editorial and e-commerce still life product photography. Balancing creativity with efficiency, the Photographer ensures all assets meet brand standards and support a cohesive visual identity across platforms. This position requires strong technical skills, a refined creative eye, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment.

Requirements

  • A degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience as a photographer with a strong portfolio demonstrating your skills.
  • Demonstrates foundational knowledge of photography equipment, lighting setups, and studio tools.
  • Proficient in image capture and processing software (e.g., Capture One, Adobe Photoshop).
  • Maintains accurate color, exposure, and composition in all imagery.
  • Understands and applies principles of visual storytelling, composition, and brand alignment.
  • Shows a developing eye for styling, framing, and lighting techniques.
  • Contributes creative ideas and adapts to evolving visual direction.
  • Maintains consistency in image quality, file naming, and formatting.
  • Identifies and corrects issues in exposure, focus, and color accuracy.
  • Ensures studio equipment and sets are clean, organized, and functional.
  • Works effectively with stylists, art directors, and retouchers to achieve shared goals.
  • Accepts and applies feedback constructively.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-volume, web-ready still life imagery of products including flat lays, tabletop, home furnishings, lifestyle, and styled product shots.
  • Ensure all images meet brand standards for lighting, composition, color accuracy, and styling.
  • Use Capture One to process, crop, and export images according to established file naming and sizing conventions.
  • Maintain consistent visual quality across all product categories and shooting days.
  • Collaborate with art directors and stylists to execute visually compelling editorial shoots that align with seasonal campaigns and brand storytelling.
  • Translate creative briefs into dynamic imagery that captures mood, tone, and product narrative.
  • Contribute to pre-production planning, including lighting tests, location prep, and shot lists.
  • Set up and break down lighting and camera equipment for daily shoots.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio, props, and gear.
  • Ensure all equipment is functional and report any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the studio team to prioritize workflow and meet daily production targets.
  • Work closely with stylists to ensure products are represented accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with production and post-production teams to ensure smooth asset handoffs.
  • Follow creative direction and shoot guides to maintain consistency across product categories.
  • Review images for technical accuracy and visual consistency before delivery.
  • Provide input on improving studio processes, lighting setups, and workflow efficiency.
  • Stay informed on best practices in product photography and studio operations.
  • Stay informed on photography trends, lighting techniques, and visual styles.
  • Proactively seek feedback from senior team members to improve technical and creative output.
  • Contribute ideas during creative discussions and demonstrate a willingness to test new approaches.
