About The Position

The (photographer and) Social Media Manager is responsible for assisting in the execution of the internal and external marketing and communication plan emulating the vision, mission, core values, and strategic goals of Mount Paran Christian School. The program focuses on competitive positioning of the school through coordinated brand management, increased visibility and awareness, visual communications support, and enhancements in communications content. Responsibilities of Social Media Manager include photography content capturing and editing, writing and storytelling, and scheduling social media on all school platforms, monitoring analytics, and ensuring a quality voice for the public persona of the organization.

Requirements

  • Degree, experience, or training in social media content management and/or photography
  • Experience or training in social media data and analytics
  • Skills in social media advertising and metrics
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM content strategies or Google Analytics a plus
  • Expert in Photography (Camera and technology)
  • Knowledge of exposure, frame rate, composure, shutter speed, camera set-up
  • Proficient in Photo Editing Software (Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop)
  • Light knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator or InDesign)
  • Demonstrates impeccable writing skills and an eye for detail
  • Highly organized, thorough, and meets deadlines
  • Digitally savvy to problem-solve camera equipment, software, and social platforms
  • Flexibility in schedule as needed for non-school hour content delivery
  • Proven multi-tasking and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM content strategies or Google Analytics a plus
  • Light knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator or InDesign)

Responsibilities

  • Shows support and high esteem for MPCS
  • Shows excitement for student programming and telling the MPCS story
  • Assist in the enhancement of digital media for communications which includes all facets of the school (academics, athletics, arts, and Christian life)
  • Helps develop and carry out the MPCS social media plan
  • Responsible for photography of events and activities on campus
  • Content creator capturing day-to-day photos and editing stories for social media
  • Culls and color corrects imagery for posting, archiving, online ecommerce platform
  • Responsible for all social media content on all school social platforms, daily
  • Manages digital data and analytics for social platforms
  • Monitors online performance and reporting
  • Integrates admission goals with social media content strategy
  • Understands social media advertising and metrics for landing page conversions to expand content to prospective families
  • Monitors Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn pages for all areas of the school to keep current and accurate
  • Acts as the public persona of the organization, monitoring comments and feedback addressing good and bad PR
  • Gathering information and writing timely media posts to demonstrate value of the MPCS education
  • Flexibility to conduct real-time reporting on key events or news on occasion after hours or on weekends
  • Assists with creative content, reels, highlights and stays current with constantly changing trends and standards
  • Take initiative to photograph, collect information, and report good news around campus and in all divisions
  • Content creator capturing day-to-day photography and editing stories for social media
  • Responsible for ensuring all school news and event photography is covered or outsourced for social media and marketing photo archives
  • Takes photos on-the-fly as needs arise
  • Ensures the MPCS branding and graphics standards with all content
  • Works with Yearbook and helps manage photo archive system and filing for historical reference
