Walters Wholesale Electric, an affiliate of USESI, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Photo Voltaic Project Coordinator to join our team. This position will be located in our Brea, CA location.     The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project intake, the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and the organizational skills to manage multiple project pricing requests at once. You’ll work closely with project managers and estimators to develop accurate and competitive bids that support company growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination, project management, sales support, construction operations, or related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and addenda.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or industry training preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with Solar Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers and sales teams in coordinating lighting, controls, or switchgear projects for commercial clients.
  • Prepare complete and accurate job files for public and private projects requiring formal bids.
  • Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements; create action items for appropriate estimators.
  • Manage the intake project pipeline and follow up with estimators to ensure pricing deadlines are met.
  • Assist in developing cost breakdowns, project scheduling, and phasing as needed.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings when required and coordinate with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Create quotes and orders using Job Management and Solar Eclipse systems.
  • Prepare submittals for customer review and design approval.
  • Address shipping-related concerns and project inquiries with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Support project handoff to project management teams after award and assist with cost tracking as needed.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, shipping partners, and internal teams to ensure timely project execution.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry pricing trends.
  • Assist with other project-related or administrative tasks as assigned.
