About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Elkton, Maryland is seeking a Photo & Video Technician to join their qualified, highly motivated, and skilled Testing team to support static test functions. Qualified candidates must be prepared to thrive in a highly active environment. This role demands collaboration, innovative thinking, and the use of hardware and software tools to effectively demonstrate the capabilities of Northrop Grumman Defense Systems at Elkton, Maryland. The candidate must be familiar with live-event video production and video capture. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot any issues that may arise from cabling or data transmission, that adversely affect the quality of live-video capture and broadcast. We are looking for someone to infuse new ideas and techniques into projects and help to elevate the value of our testing video experience. Customer satisfaction is a top priority and qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience working multiple projects, performing to tight deadlines, being attentive to details and possess solid communication and time management skills. The Photo/Video Technician will also capture high quality highspeed video. This position will be primarily located at our Elkton, MD campus.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of work experience in videography and photography (for level 2) or 4 years (for level 3).
  • Extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms.
  • Ability to work on Mac and PC operating systems.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Photography Drone Operator
  • Experience with Phantom High Speed video equipment and software (Phantom Camera Control)
  • Experience with FLIR IR Video and Software (FLIR Tools +)
  • Experience with BlackMagic video mixing and recording hardware.
  • Experience working in a classified environment

Responsibilities

  • Be an active participant in the team’s video and photo production process.
  • Help develop testing video and photo standards.
  • Capture professional high quality testing video footage to help demonstrate the abilities of our products and people.
  • Employ a wide range of communications skills to help understand the needs of the engineering team and marketing team in order to help create compelling visual data for a wide audience.
  • Own the successful delivery of HD test video edits and live streamed video.
  • Capture highspeed video and IR video.
  • Ensure that equipment for recording is set up for success.
  • Perform AV equipment maintenance when needed.
