About The Position

This is a hybrid position with a combination of remote and onsite work at various school locations. The role requires the candidate to reside in Ozark, MO, or surrounding cities. The Photo Team Manager will oversee and inspire a team of photographers to capture moments for students K-12 and their families. This role involves leadership, training, logistics, and hands-on event management to ensure school photography operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven success in managing teams and driving performance under pressure.
  • A four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, customer service, and general business experience.
  • Exceptional ability to connect with and lead a team, clients, and partners at all levels.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks without missing a beat.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new programs quickly.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and maintain energy throughout busy photo days.
  • Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and travel as needed within your assigned area.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Access to a reliable, insured vehicle (public transportation isn’t an option). Vehicle must be large enough to transport equipment as needed (i.e. sedan +).
  • Ability to interact with students of all ages and abilities, creating a positive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Maintain grooming and demeanor that reflects Jostens’ corporate image.
  • Consistent access to a dependable cell phone and internet service to stay connected with the team and clients.
  • Must reside in Ozark, MO or surrounding cities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and inspire a team of photographers to capture student moments.
  • Manage photo day logistics, ensuring adequate photographer scheduling.
  • Determine and manage a centralized storage location for photography equipment.
  • Oversee equipment storage, organization, and coordination of equipment pickups.
  • Coordinate weekly pickups of photography hard drives.
  • Collect and prepare all photography gear for shipment at the end of the season.
  • Partner with HR to conduct interviews and hire photographers.
  • Directly manage photographers within the Hub.
  • Manage school assignments and photographer scheduling for the service area.
  • Ensure clear communication of photo day event details to photographers and school contacts.
  • Establish expectations with photographers for adherence to standards and attendance.
  • Attend/lead weekly, virtual team meetings.
  • Partner with the Travel Coordinator for hotel reservation needs.
  • Oversee and approve photographer expenses, and manage overtime and travel needs.
  • Understand and execute JostensPIX photography protocols.
  • Work some events as a Photographer or Event Lead when needed, providing hands-on support.
  • Attend 2-3 Photo Day events per week as additional support.
  • Ensure smooth operations, including equipment setup and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Travel to schools within the assigned Hub as needed.
