About The Position

Labcorp is seeking Phlebotomy to join our team at 1003 E. Brier Dr, San Bernardino, CA 92408. Work Schedule: Monday’s, Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Tuesdays 9:00am to 5:30 pm, rotating weekends may be required. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
  • In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
  • Current or Prior experience at LabCorp
  • 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
  • Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collecting payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
