About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Training Coordinator to join our team at 550 17th Ave in Seattle, WA. Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives. This position will be responsible for the organization, development and execution of training new employees. Performs training of newly hired employees, provides re-training on company topics such as policies, procedures, and programs as needs dictate, and conducts group and individualized training for purposes of work performance enhancement and general education. Serves as a procedural and compliance resource for employees in assigned areas.

Requirements

  • Washington State issued Phlebotomy license (MA-P)
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience
  • 1 or more years of lead or training experience, preferably within a phlebotomy or clinical training environment.
  • In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement appropriate resources and programs to accomplish training objectives
  • Evaluate new, presently existing, and proposed training methodologies, develop training materials and plans, and deliver training
  • Conduct training programs for the company.
  • Track and analyze training programs by examining participants’ job performance
  • Monitor and report the effectiveness of training on employees during the orientation period
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
  • Develop and implement appropriate resources and programs to accomplish
  • Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, motivate others, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, train employees, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.
