Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Degree or GED (Required)
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience Technical (Required)
  • Formal phlebotomy training Required

Nice To Haves

  • 3 - 4 years in Technical or Phlebotomy, or other (Preferred)
  • Other Phlebotomist Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing adult education in the disciplines of adult and pediatric phlebotomy and/or specimen processing.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with instructing adults in the fields of phlebotomy and processing.
  • Conducts training sessions to ensure team members are skilled in both the technical and behavioral aspects required to perform blood draws and/or process specimens.
  • Responsible for completing initial and annual competency assessments for team members under the direction of a lead and/or supervisor.
  • Independently performs day to day tasks and collaborates with TriHealth team members as required to meet the needs of our healthcare providers.
  • Serves as an internal liaison for the laboratory.
