About The Position
Join Cleveland Clinic’s Twinsburg Family Health and Surgery Center as a caregiver at a respected healthcare organization. This state-of-the-art facility provides the community with specialty care, primary care, and surgical services. As a Phlebotomy Technician on the Medical Laboratory team, you will help create a positive patient experience by accurately and efficiently collecting specimens needed for patient care. The role supports laboratory and care teams and includes specimen collection, processing, and delivery duties. The position is eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical proficiency with standard procedures, techniques, and common practices.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Formal phlebotomy certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collection procedures, follow venipuncture procedures, and maintain appropriate log sheets.
- Verify order requests and identifying information before drawing blood or collecting a specimen or kit.
- Label collected specimens and deliver them to the appropriate processing area.
- Perform specimen-processing and send-out tasks, including accessioning, centrifugation, and packaging.
- Pick up and deliver blood, other sample types, and laboratory supplies.
