About The Position
Committed to care, our Phlebotomy Technicians bring comfort, calm, and compassion. Join a team of 26 Phlebotomists in a fast-paced inpatient unit drawing blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians in accordance with established procedures. This is a part time day phlebotomy position. 6 am to 9:30 am with every other weekend off. Rotating holidays. All roles require on-site presence and employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of principles of infection control and normal anatomy required.
- Customer service skills required.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy Certification from National Phlebotomy Association preferred.
- One year prior venipuncture experience preferred.
