About The Position
The Phlebotomy Technician Per Diem is responsible for accurately registering outpatients, obtaining blood samples, and performing EKGs. This role requires demonstrating knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and level of difficulty of the patient (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics). The technician performs routine and assigned functions under the direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and/or designee.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic team player.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Terminology, ICD 10 coding and CRT data experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of third party payer, federal and state regulations desired.
- Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) preferred.
