About The Position

From Drawing Blood to Building Careers! If you have spent years perfecting your stick and calming nervous patients, you know the impact a skilled phlebotomist can have. Now, it’s time to scale that impact. Step out of the clinic and into the classroom as our new Phlebotomy Lead Instructor! This role involves transitioning from hands-on patient care to hands-on teaching, guiding students through lab procedures, curriculum, and clinical externships.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy Technician program (or recognized equivalent).
  • Minimum of 4 years combined training/experience (if not a graduate of an accredited program).
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical, occupational experience as a Phlebotomist.
  • Active license/certification as required by state/federal law.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lectures and lab demonstrations.
  • Evaluate student performance and adapt lesson plans to meet learning needs.
  • Monitor attendance and maintain grade records.
  • Provide proactive support to achieve an 80% student success rate.
  • Coordinate guest speakers, field trips, and externships.
  • Represent the program at Advisory Board Meetings.
  • Assist with supply inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
