Specific duties may vary for Clinic Based and Hospital Based roles, including reviewing test requisitions, providing patient instructions, maintaining standing order files, preparing and triaging specimens, obtaining waivers for Medicare coverage, maintaining computerized WOW carts, adhering to patient isolation procedures, and maintaining phone availability for emergent collections.
