About The Position
This position involves collecting and labeling specimens for testing, maintaining computerized records, and resolving outstanding specimens/collections. The role requires practicing universal precautions, barrier protection methods, infection control, and isolation procedures when working with body fluids and other contagia to ensure a safe work environment. Issues, problems, and opportunities are escalated to the supervisory level for resolution.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years phlebotomy experience.
- Basic computer skills and medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
