About The Position

Collects and labels specimens for testing. Maintains computerized records and resolves and troubleshoots outstanding specimens and collections. Practices universal precautions, barrier protection methods, infection control, and isolation procedures when working with body fluids and other contagia to ensure a safe work environment. Escalates issues, problems, and opportunities to the supervisory level for resolution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of phlebotomy experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
