About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to join our team in Fayetteville, NC. This role involves supervising a team of phlebotomists, managing patient flow, inventory, and operational duties. The supervisor will also be responsible for hiring, training, and addressing employee relations issues. The position requires effective communication with various internal and external customers, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting with the setup of new patient service centers. The supervisor will also perform specimen collection when needed and travel to additional sites as necessary. This role emphasizes leadership, inspiration, and development of others, with a focus on impacting the patient/client experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3 years or more relevant experience as a phlebotomist
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership position
At least 21 years’ old
Valid Driver's License and good driving record
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree
Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and team coordination

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of (25+) phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices
Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking
Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisals
Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions
Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management
Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices
Provide resolution of any patient or client issues
Perform, collect and prepare specimens when needed
Travel to additional sites as necessary
