About The Position
Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking a Part Time Phlebotomy Service Representative I for their Miami, OK location. This role involves performing phlebotomy duties for all age groups, including inpatients and outpatients, as well as handling clerical tasks and computer data entry. The ideal candidate will be customer service focused, professional, and able to work collaboratively as a team member.
Requirements
- Must be able to work both independently and as a team member
- Must comply with all DLO safety and compliance policies
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, specimen requirements and basic computer use is helpful
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required
- Previous phlebotomy experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred
- Experience working/interacting with patients in a hospital setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
- Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities
- Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday
- Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment
- Specimen collection will include all age groups and both Inpatients and Outpatients
- Clerical tasks and computer data entry are a PSR responsibility
- Must be customer service focused and professional
- Must be able to communicate effectively to clients, patients and staff in person and on the telephone
- Must have excellent patient service skills
- Must be able to adjust schedule to help cover other shifts as needed
