About The Position

Assists the Laboratory Manager with the operation of the phlebotomy department by performing educational and phlebotomy procedures in conjunction with associated clerical and quality assurance functions. Acts as a technical resource and educational lead to ensure an efficient operation. Works with lab management to perform various administrative tasks that ensure section/shift operates in an efficient, effective manner. This position requires flexibility of hours.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting in a leadership role required.
  • Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT I) certification issued by State of California.
  • Exemplary communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to calmly and equitably moderate disagreements.
  • Maintain a positive approach to problem solving and be flexible in meeting new challenges.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Must have a strong background in education.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferred.
