Phlebotomist
About The Position
As a Phlebotomist, you will work closely with our other lab staff to perform phlebotomy and collect appropriate samples from our patients who are either being seen by one of our providers and/or will be receiving outpatient infusion treatment. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Manual dexterity, proper hand-eye coordination, clear color perception and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- 0-3 years of experience for entry-level phlebotomists.
Nice To Haves
- Certificate from an accredited school of phlebotomy is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carefully and efficiently collect specimens from patients as ordered.
- Follow quality and safety procedures for processing specimens.
- Communicate respectfully and thoroughly listen to any shared details in conversations with patients, coworkers, and third-party laboratories.
- Log and maintain inventory while following all OSHA compliance laws and Universal Precaution procedures.
- Neatly label all specimens to prevent any specimen processing errors.
- Jump in and help out with any additional tasks.
