About The Position

The Phlebotomist is responsible for performing routine blood collections and specimen processing while providing excellent patient care. This role also includes DOT and Non-DOT collection certification and serving as a Laboratory Information System (LIS) operator. Additional clerical duties may be assigned as needed, along with supporting overall laboratory safety and cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a certified phlebotomy program or medical program, OR a graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program, OR an individual with either a high school diploma or equivalent with documentation of previous phlebotomy training and experience.
  • Good communication skills
  • Pleasant personality and attitude
  • Capable and comfortable working directly with patients and/or their families

Nice To Haves

  • Typing and computer knowledge and skills are desirable but not required.
  • Experience preferred but not required.
