About The Position
Compass Medical Provider, LLC is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to assist in providing care to the Michigan Army National Guard. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care through the collection and processing of blood specimens. The Phlebotomist will utilize core skills in venipuncture, medical terminology, and patient service to ensure accurate and timely blood sampling. With a focus on patient comfort and safety, this role contributes significantly to the healthcare mission, particularly in a military setting where precision and care are paramount.
Requirements
- Current Phlebotomy certification, required
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience
- Attention to detail
- Willing to learn
- Actively registered with the state or currently working under a physician.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Military experience is preferable.
- Scrubs are a must
Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples through venipuncture and other methods while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to provide exceptional patient care.
