Phlebotomist Full Time
About The Position
Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Part Time to join our team at 420 West Rowland Street Covina, CA 91722. Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, additional days and hours as needed. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Pay Range: $21.00 - $33.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
- Current or Prior experience at LabCorp
- In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collecting payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
