Phlebotomist – Laboratory - Full Time - Days
About The Position
Committed to care, Phlebotomists at NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester can enter a room and bring comfort, calm and compassion. Join a team of Phlebotomists in a fast-paced hospital, outpatient laboratory and at a skilled nursing facilities drawing blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians in accordance with established procedures. This is a full time day shift position working Monday - Friday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm including rotating weekends & holidays (variable shifts on weekends/holidays). Location is our NYP Westchester campus in Bronxville NY, opposite the Metro North Station.
Requirements
- Two years prior hospital or SNF experience.
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to function well under the normal pressures of hospital laboratory work.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Basic PC and LIS proficiency
Nice To Haves
- Experience/expertise in venipuncture technique preferred.
