The position requires performing technical laboratory procedures accurately and precisely, meeting regulatory standards, and preparing blood or bone marrow slides. Responsibilities also include managing outside lab orders, receiving and documenting lab reports, and communicating critical blood counts to physicians. The role involves maintaining supply inventory, troubleshooting instrument malfunctions, performing therapeutic phlebotomy, and ensuring laboratory compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, the position requires adherence to safety guidelines, maintaining laboratory cleanliness, complying with all laws and regulations pertaining to patient care and billing, and ensuring patient information confidentiality. The role may also involve assisting in training new employees and working at any company location as needed, including overtime.
