About The Position

We're Patient's Choice, and we're on a mission to provide top-notch healthcare with a personal touch. Our team is passionate about making a difference, and we're looking for a skilled and experienced phlebotomist to join us. If you're ready to bring your expertise to a a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you! As an experienced phlebotomist at Patient's Choice, you'll be the go-to pro for blood draws. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive excellent care, and you'll play a key role. We're looking for someone who wants to help create positive patient experiences. A typical day here includes performing the proper procedures for specimen collection. These could include Venipuncture, Capillary sticks, Urinalysis, Glucose Tolerances, and First Aid. This happens after registering the patient while interacting courteously and professionally. You should ensure the accuracy of patient identification and proper specimen labeling. You will also be required to follow HIPAA guidelines and complete all assignments on time. We require you to display a professional attitude and personal appearance and be familiar with Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communications, and Laboratory Safety Manuals. You will know how to handle patients with adverse reactions to venipuncture and be proficient in computers and technology for data entry purposes. You should assure safety through appropriate specimen labeling and notify physicians of critical lab results. A clean and organized phlebotomy area is a must, and you may be asked to perform additional duties by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • At least 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience is highly preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented position
  • Repetitive motion, standing, lifting, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, turning and bending
  • Strong organizational skills and accuracy in specimen handling and documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Phlebotomy course preferred
