About The Position

Join the Inpatient Lab Team as a Phlebotomist in a dynamic, high-energy, fast-paced, and supportive environment. This role is vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients. You will be responsible for obtaining in-house blood specimens, processing laboratory specimens for clinical analysis, and providing patient information to the appropriate caregiver. The position requires a commitment to helping patients and maintaining organization.

Requirements

• High school or GED.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong phlebotomy skills.
• Adaptability and flexibility necessary for work schedule and patient care requirements.
• Good command of the English language and medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Technical training in Phlebotomy Program, 1 year of experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignments, obtains required supplies, completes work on time.
• Completes Stat requests within standard turnaround times.
• Responses promptly to beeper and/or overhead paging.
• Verifies that the appropriate specimen has been obtained / received for the test requested.
• Maintains integrity of the specimen.
