About The Position
The Phlebotomist draws blood and collects specimens from patients in medical offices. The role involves collecting blood by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups, collecting specimens for various tests, accurately entering patient information, and preparing specimens for laboratory testing and analysis. The position also provides customer service to patients and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid Phlebotomy Certification.
- At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
- Experience drawing blood from all age groups.
- Strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for various tests.
- Accurately enter patient information.
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis at the lab.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
