Phlebotomist Inpatient -NIGHTS
About The Position
The Phlebotomist - Inpatient works under general supervision and follows established policies and procedures to prepare, collect, log, and label specimens for testing. The role also performs pre-analytical processing and ordering of specimens arriving in the laboratory, registers patient information and laboratory test orders in the computer system, and arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois, scheduled for 40 hours per week. Night hours are 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- For Phlebotomist I: completion of a phlebotomy training program including at least 100 clinical training hours.
- Current CPR (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Valid Illinois driver's license and auto insurance.
- For Phlebotomist II: at least one year of phlebotomy experience.
