Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives. LabCorp is seeking Phlebotomy Full Time to join our team at 627 West Avenue Q Suite B Palmdale, CA 93551. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:00 am – 4:00 pm, with rotating Saturdays 7:00 am- 11:00 am. At LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. We are currently seeking a phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
  • Current or Prior experience at LabCorp
  • In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
  • 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
  • Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collecting payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
